All-in-one monitoring guide

All-in-one monitoring for startups: uptime, logs, RUM and session replay in one tool

Several tools now cover uptime checks, logs, web vitals and session replay in one account, and each prices and limits them differently. This guide compares nine vendors using only their own pricing and docs pages, checked on October 17, 2026, then prices one small SaaS on each.

Verdetto

Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime, Sentry and Site Qwality each list uptime checks, logs, web vitals and session replay in one account (Grafana Cloud adds replay as a public preview). Only four of them also list a status page and on-call tooling: Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime and Site Qwality. For the 3-person SaaS priced below, list prices run from $56.50 to $226.70 a month, and Site Qwality comes to $106.67 on annual billing, so it is neither the cheapest nor the deepest option.

In sintesi

  • Uptime, logs, web vitals and replay in one account: Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime, Sentry and Site Qwality. Grafana Cloud has replay in public preview. PostHog, SigNoz and LogRocket list no uptime checks.
  • Also a status page and on-call: Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime and Site Qwality. Datadog sells each as a separate product.
  • Free session replays a month: Better Stack and PostHog 5,000 each, Site Qwality 100, Sentry 50. Datadog sells replay as a paid add-on.
  • Free telemetry retention is short: 3 days at Site Qwality and Better Stack, 14 days on the Grafana Cloud free plan. Site Qwality sells 30 days at most.
  • Where we are weaker: traces-only OTLP over HTTP, browser-only error tracking, no TCP checks, no SOC 2 or ISO 27001, no EU hosting, and lighter APM than Datadog.

Checked October 17, 2026 on each vendor’s own pricing, product and docs pages (linked under Sources). Included: part of the standard plan or free tier, though usage may be metered. Separate product: sold on its own price line. Paid add-on: extra charge on top of another product. Offered: listed on the vendor’s pages, but its pricing page does not say which plan or price applies. Not listed: no such product appears on the vendor’s pricing or product pages, which is not a claim that it can never do it. Site Qwality error tracking covers browser JavaScript errors only. Better Stack prices RUM as per-GB “web events”, and Sentry lists no per-session RUM price.

Who an all-in-one suits, and who should split the stack

A bundle removes integration work, not cost. An uptime failure, a log spike and the replay of an affected session sit in one account, with one alert path and one bill. That suits a small team with a few services, and suits less well when one signal is the heart of your product.

  • Bundle: teams of a few people who want one login, one on-call rota and a status page tied to the same monitors. Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime and Site Qwality list all of those. Sentry covers the monitoring signals but lists no status page or on-call.
  • Split: pair a general tool with a specialist when one signal matters most. Server-side error tracking points to Sentry, to Better Stack (its error tracking is Sentry SDK-compatible) or to Datadog Error Tracking, which covers frontend and backend applications. Product analytics next to replay points to PostHog or LogRocket. Heavy backend tracing points to Datadog, Grafana Cloud or SigNoz.
  • Cost: bundling did not make the scenario below cheap everywhere. Datadog prices each signal as its own product, and its total came to about twice Site Qwality’s.

Where Site Qwality is weaker

These are the limits to weigh before you move. Each one is stated on our own pages.

  • Retention: logs, metrics and traces share one window: 3 days on the free 1 GB, 15 days on the 50 GB pack, 30 days on the 200 GB and 1 TB packs. 30 days is the longest we sell (see data retention). SigNoz lists 15 days to 1 year for logs and traces, and Grafana Cloud Pro lists 13 months for metrics.
  • Scale: the largest pack on our pricing page is 1 TB a month of logs, metrics and traces combined.
  • OpenTelemetry and APM depth: OTLP is traces only, over HTTP, with no gRPC. Logs and metrics use our own JSON-over-HTTPS APIs, and there is no PromQL. Tracing gives service maps, waterfalls and trace-to-log links, so treat it as light APM, not a replacement for Datadog APM.
  • Error tracking: it covers browser JavaScript errors captured by the RUM script. There is no server-side error-tracking SDK.
  • Checks: no TCP, ICMP or port checks (Better Stack lists TCP/UDP port and ping monitoring). Browser, TLS, domain and DNS-record checks run from Virginia only, and free uptime checks run every 5 minutes from one location.
  • Compliance and regions: we hold no SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate and run no EU-hosted or dedicated deployment. Everything runs in one AWS region, us-east-1. Better Stack lists SOC 2 Type 2 and an EU region on its pricing page, and SigNoz lists SOC 2 Type II with US, EU and India data centers.
  • Replay and size: the free tier has 100 replays a month, against 5,000 at Better Stack and PostHog. We are also a very small company, so weigh vendor risk as well as features.

Open source and self-hosting

Site Qwality is hosted only. If you need to run the tool yourself, these vendors publish a self-host path.

  • OneUptime: the README lists Apache 2.0 plus an Enterprise License for the ee/ directory, with a free Community Edition to self-host.
  • SigNoz: its license is MIT outside the ee/ directory, and its pricing page lists a self-hosted Community edition.
  • PostHog: an MIT-licensed Docker Compose deployment, which PostHog says is officially unsupported.
  • Sentry: source-available under the Functional Source License, with self-hosting that comes with no guarantees.
  • LogRocket: self-hosted deployments are listed on its Enterprise plan.
  • Grafana: Grafana Labs publishes Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Mimir as open-source projects. This guide prices Grafana Cloud, the hosted service.

When another vendor is the better choice

A bundle is a convenience, not a goal. These cases favor someone else.

  • Deep backend tracing, profiling or year-long retention: Datadog, Grafana Cloud or SigNoz.
  • Server-side error tracking: Sentry, Better Stack or Datadog, as above.
  • Product analytics next to replay: PostHog or LogRocket.
  • A bigger free tier: Better Stack (10 monitors and heartbeats, a status page, 3 GB of logs, 5,000 replays) or Grafana Cloud (50 GB of logs and traces, 50K RUM sessions, 3 on-call users).
  • TCP or port checks: Better Stack.
  • SOC 2 or an EU region today: Better Stack or SigNoz.
  • Self-hosting: OneUptime, SigNoz or PostHog.

Worked price: a 3-person SaaS

Assumptions: 10 monitors checked every 5 minutes from one location (10 × 8,640 = 86,400 checks a month), 20 GB of logs, 100,000 RUM sessions, 5,000 replays, one status page and on-call for 3 people. US list prices on October 17, 2026, shown per month on annual billing where the vendor offers it. A line a vendor does not price in a comparable unit is marked and left out of its total.

Per month Site Qwality Better Stack Datadog OneUptime Sentry Grafana Cloud
Base plan $0 $0 $0 In on-call line $26 (Team) $19 (Pro)
Uptime, 86,400 checks $0 (100K free) $0 (10 included) $43.20 (8.64 × $5) $10 (10 × $1) $9 (9 extra × $1) $0 (100K free)

On-call and incidents, 3 people $41.67 ($500/yr pack) $87 (3 × $29) $120 (3 × $40) $60 (3 × $20) Not listed $0 (3 users free)
Logs, 20 GB $41.67 (50 GB pack) $4.60 $36.00 $2.00 $7.50 $0 (50 GB free)
RUM, 100K sessions $8.33 ($100/yr) Priced per GB $15.00 (100 × $0.15) Price not stated No session price $37.50 (50 × $0.75)
Replay, 5,000 $15.00 (with Analyze) $0 (5,000 included) $12.50 (5 × $2.50) Price not stated $18.56 Preview, no price
Total of priced lines $106.67 $91.60 $226.70 $72.00 $61.06 $56.50

How each line is built.
Site Qwality: annual packs cost ten times the monthly price, so $500 + $100 + $80 + $100 + $500 = $1,280 a year, or $106.67 a month ($128 billed monthly). The packs are the 50 GB telemetry pack, RUM Observe 100K, replay 5K, RUM Analyze 5K and the 25-responder incident pack. Analyze is included because our SDK docs say a Replay rule also enables Analyze. The default rule that captures per-session detail on 10% of sessions would exceed a 5K Analyze pack at this volume, so lower it or buy the 25K pack ($400 a year). Uptime is free: 86,400 of 100,000 free checks.
Better Stack: responders at the yearly $29. Logs: 20 GB × $0.15 ingestion + 20 GB × $0.08 retention, before the 3 GB included.
Datadog: the Incident Response bundle (on-call plus Incident Management, which includes status pages). Logs: $2.00 ingestion + 20M indexed events × $1.70 per million at 15-day retention, assuming 1 KB per event. Replay is billed under its RUM and Session Replay plan, so treat that line as an estimate.
OneUptime: Growth at the yearly $20 per user. Logs: 20 GB × $0.10 at 15-day retention.
Sentry: Team plan. Logs: 15 GB over the 5 GB included × $0.50. Replays: 4,950 over the 50 included × $0.00375 pay-as-you-go.
Grafana Cloud: Pro platform fee plus 50K sessions above the free 50K, before any frontend logs and traces billed at standard rates.
Left out of totals: Better Stack RUM (per-GB web events), Sentry RUM (no per-session price), OneUptime RUM and replay (no price on its pricing page) and Grafana replay (preview, no price). Those four totals are floors.
Not shown: PostHog (20 GB of logs = 10 free + 10 × $0.25 = $2.50, 5,000 replays free, no uptime, status page or on-call listed), SigNoz (the $49 Teams minimum covers 20 GB of logs, no uptime or replay listed) and LogRocket (priced by sessions on a slider: $176 a month at 25,000 sessions on annual billing, with no fixed rate published for 100,000).

FAQ

On their own pages as of October 17, 2026, Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime, Sentry and Site Qwality each list uptime checks, log management, web vitals and session replay. Grafana Cloud lists the first three and offers Session Replay as a public-preview add-on. PostHog, SigNoz and LogRocket list no uptime checks. Only Better Stack, Datadog, OneUptime and Site Qwality also list a status page and on-call or incident management.

No. OneUptime’s pricing page and session replay docs list uptime and synthetic monitoring, logs, RUM with Core Web Vitals and session replay, but Better Stack, Datadog, Sentry and Site Qwality list the same four signals. OneUptime’s pricing page does not state a price for RUM or replay, so this guide leaves those lines out of its total.

Better Stack, OneUptime and Site Qwality are the closest on scope, since each also lists a status page and on-call. In the scenario above Datadog came to $226.70 a month, Site Qwality $106.67, Better Stack $91.60 and OneUptime $72.00, though the Better Stack and OneUptime totals leave out lines they do not price per session. Datadog is deeper on APM and sells uptime checks, logs, RUM, replay and on-call as separate products. See the Datadog comparison for more.

Yes, for browser JavaScript errors. The RUM script captures them, groups them into issues, resolves stack traces with uploaded source maps and links each issue to the affected sessions and replays. It is included with RUM on every plan. There is no server-side error-tracking SDK, so backend exceptions have to be sent as logs or tracked in a tool such as Sentry.

Traces do, over OTLP/HTTP in protobuf or JSON, with no gRPC. Logs and metrics use our own JSON-over-HTTPS ingest endpoints, not OTLP. For comparison, Grafana Cloud’s OTLP endpoint takes metrics, logs and traces, and Sentry accepts OTLP traces and logs but not metrics.

Logs, metrics and trace spans keep 3 days on the free tier, 15 days on the 50 GB pack and 30 days on the 200 GB and 1 TB packs, and 30 days is the maximum. RUM Analyze events keep 30 days, session replays keep 30 days by default (7, 14 or 30 days are the options) and RUM Observe measures keep 458 days by default. See data retention. For comparison, Better Stack lists 90 days for error tracking and replays.

Not by default. In the 3-person scenario Grafana Cloud ($56.50) and Sentry ($61.06) came out lowest, but Grafana lists no status page and has no published replay price, and Sentry lists no status page or on-call. OneUptime ($72.00) and Better Stack ($91.60) came in below Site Qwality ($106.67) before their unpriced RUM lines, and Datadog came to $226.70. A bundle saves integration work and alert plumbing more than money, so price your own volumes in each vendor’s calculator.

It depends on the signal. Better Stack: 10 monitors and heartbeats, 1 status page, 3 GB of logs and 5,000 replays, on a tier it labels for personal projects. Grafana Cloud: 50 GB each of logs and traces, 50K RUM sessions and 3 on-call users, with 14-day retention. PostHog: 5,000 replays, 100,000 exceptions and 10 GB of logs and tracing. Site Qwality: 100K uptime checks at 5-minute intervals, 25 cron monitors, 1 GB of telemetry at 3-day retention, 1,000 RUM sessions, 100 replays, one status page and one on-call responder.
